I've worked with large institutions like Torrens University Australia, the University of Adelaide College, Murdoch Institute of Technology, and Kaplan International. I've also worked with boutique and independent colleges such as the Australian Institute of Music, Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School, and William Blue College of Hospitality Management.
I offer a wide range of content services unique to clients across the higher education sector.
From SEO blog posts and content calendars to magazine think pieces, student interviews, alumni features or academic profiles — tailored to each institution’s unique voice, branding, SEO and communication needs.
"Working with Lily has been a fantastic experience. She has a deep understanding of music and the industry, and it shows in every blog post she writes for AIM. Her ability to turn complex topics into engaging, accessible content has made a real impact on our audience."
- Sole Coria, Senior Marketing Manager, Australian Institute of Music, Sydney.
I published my first WordPress blog in 2007, writing stories about local communities while backpacking around Europe and instantly fell in love with blogging. So, one year after I finished my BA of International Studies at Sydney University I launched a bigger project, GroundRoots, documenting community-led sustainability efforts in Asia, Australia, and the US. That project earned me two blogging awards.
Since then I’ve written on a wide range of topics — from sustainability, hospitality and tourism to culture, design, innovation, ICT, industry trends, business and health sciences.
As a content writing professional specialising in higher ed, it's essential to have a genuine interest in many different topics, deep empathy for students and a passion for education. When you care about your content, it's easy to write about each subject with curiosity and to connect meaningfully with your audience.
As a former international student, I spent an eye-opening semester abroad in Sweden studying their famously progressive welfare system. Now as an expatriate living between Germany and Australia, I understand what it is to arrive in a new country, driven by adventure and your career ambitions. I can speak to an international student audience with the empathy of shared experience.
My articles have appeared in industry magazines such as CEO Magazine, Wellbeing and Hospitality Management, as well as a number of sustainability focused publications.
When I'm not working on digital content, I'm making large-scale tapestries in my artist studio, curating exhibitions, and co-operatively organising a collective of visual artists in Berlin.
